It all began in London, back in 1908.
In the bustling, working-class streets of the East End, Morris Cooper wasn’t trying to launch a fashion brand—he was creating useful garments, built to endure the hands that shaped industrial Britain. He founded M. Cooper Overalls Ltd, a small workshop producing overalls and workwear. It wasn’t denim just yet… but it was already about purpose.
As the decades rolled by, war broke out, and the small company stepped up—manufacturing uniforms for British soldiers. The clothing became a second skin for those who fought, worked, and resisted. And in 1946, a new chapter began: the company was reborn as Lee Cooper.
Then came the turning point: the 1950s. Denim arrived—and with it, a cultural revolution. Youth adopted jeans like a banner. Lee Cooper became more than a name: it was a voice. The voice of rock, rebellion, and freedom. On stage, in the streets, on the radio—Lee Cooper jeans were there, raw, real, alive.
From music icons to trendsetters, the brand walked alongside countercultures, artists, and free spirits.
